Why don't you take him out of London and down to the seaside? I am from Southend (no white stiletto jokes thankyouverymuch) and frankly, fish and chips by the sea, hand cut potatoes and fresh battered fish....I've yet to find a chippy anywhere up here (but in the name of research I have tried) that is anything like as nice. And you have to followed up with a freshly cooked donut. *waddles back to desk* -----Original Message----- From: Jakob Whitfield [mailto:jakob.whitfield@xxxxx.xxx] Sent: 12 August 2006 17:04 To: london.food@xxxxxxxxxx.xxx Subject: Re: [london.food] Chippies > > I have a friend visiting from the US soon and in standard tourist > > mode he asked me "Where's the best fish and chip shop in London".
