I've been pondering whether this will work or not for a while and have really ever gotten round to it. The basic plan would be to get some german style pale sausages (probably a Bratwurst, Weisswurst or a Knockwurst) and then, err, stick them in a steamer. But use beer (probably a Weissbeer) instead of water. Afterwords the beer could be reduced to a sticky sauce. Anybody have any experience of steaming sausages? Any tips or tricks?
