Dawkins has made it clear that "meme" is an allusion to "mimesis" as "gene"
is an allusion to "genesis". Dawkins didn't invent the concept of mimesis,
it being one that has been around for thousands of years. Although, despite
what I said, it was Aristotle who was the principle proponent of mimesis.
