I was thinking of using this

http://realpolitik.sourceforge.net/JavaDip/index.html

to keep the map uptodate.

Although Java doesn't work at work so I'm not entirely sure it's
absolutely useful but hey ho.

The alternative is using xfig to update a map like this and then export
it as a gif.

Persoanlly I think it looks like ass and I'd prefer a much more normal
looking map and to change the colour of an entire territory.

There's a powerpoint there that I might be able to edit when I have a
powerpointable computer.

Anyway ...

If people are interested I can randomly assign countries to everybody
and then we can start playing.

I often play the first round open just to get people in to the swing of
things and then moved to close negotiations.

I'd suggest that we give each round a day (although we could make it
half a day and of course, ebing humans, we're flexible). People mail
their moves to me and then when they're all in I write a mail explining
the resolutions and asking where people wish to move to.

On a related note currently the list is set to munge the replyto
address. I can turn that off and then turn it on again individually for
the people who want it (behold the awesome power of Siesta).

Thoughts, comments?

Simon
