my local (i think they call themselves the "West Ealing Fish Bar" even
though noone buys their slightly dodgy fish and chips) kebab shop does a
mushroom kebab - quite big white mushrooms on a kebab skewer that they
interleave with peppers and tomatoes that they then grill and stick in
pitta like normal kebab.

if only i like mushrooms i'd give it a try...but i (annoyingly) don't.

  I don't know about that. Most kebab shops I know charge maybe £1.50 for a pitta
