So on saturday Kake and I went to borough market. Its all changed. It wasnt as good as i remember it being. perhaps im just spoiled by living so close to a decent market in croydon. Any way we picked up a couple of things we dont see in Croydon. Some wild boar leg steaks and some venison biltong. I was allowed to cook on Saturday night so i did stuff with wild boar. First i marinaded the steaks for about an hour in about a glass of red wine, some balsamic vinegar, some olive oil, soy sauce and some pureed ginger. In amounts which looked good. While these were marinading i did the vegetables. http://www.womens-institute.org.uk/recipes/marrow.shtml i almost certainly used more garlic and paprika than suggested here. It worked very well. Possibly could have done with a dash of chilli. :) i also roughly chopped a red cabbage and put in pan with some butter. let it cook for about 30 minutes I then cooked the steaks for about 2 minutes a side on a hot griddle pan It was all tasty. even kake wanted to eat more meat. -- Bob Walker http://www.randomness.org.uk/ Very few things dont taste good once deep fried.
