Vegetraian restaurant in Soho. Absolutely fantastic. Had their Mushroom and Ale pie last night and, once again, it was mouthwateringly delicious. Puff pastry base with the classic 3 or 4 layers with a square in the middle cut out shape. Sticky mushrooms in a deliciously rich sauce and then a square resting on top, dusted with sesame seeds. The accompany chips were perfect and the velvety mushy peas with a hint of mint were divine. I need to cook a vegetarian meal sometime soon and I've been pondering about replicating this. However at least one vege I know doesn't like mushrooms so I'm trying to think of alternatives - diced aubergine springs to mind. Suggestions?
