I saw this on Saturday Kitchen this week, cooked by a man with fantastic
facial hair:

I'm still scared of beetroot (slowly working my way towards trying to eat
it again after a nibble at a restaurant a little while back was similar in
taste in texture to eating a muddy twig) so I didn't do the "Beetroot
Pilau" that he suggested with it.

Anyway, I know little/nothing about cuts of meat (although I am reading
the Meat book and other things atm) and ended up using spare rib chops,
which my friendly neighbourhood butcher claimed would be similar to
shoulder steaks...but with a bone.

It was very nice indeed - I'm crap at sauces normally and thickening up
the juices of this one has inspired me to practise more. And also cook
with cider.
