We buy organic meat, but inorganic vegies.  Would love to be able to buy
organic carrots, as they tend to contain major pesticide residues and so
we have to peel them.

The thing I find about the veg we buy at the market is the freshness.=20
Even lettuces will last at least two weeks in the fridge, whereas the
Tesco crap turns to mush in days.

I haven't included booze in my prices, though I brew my own beer which
keeps the costs down.  Something I'd recommend checking out for anyone
on the list who likes their beer, particularly if you want real ale.  A
typical 25L brew costs around <=A320, tailored to my tastes and taking
only a very small amount of work.
