Today, for some reason, I was craving some sort of baked pasta so, this evening, I went out and bought some large tubular pasta (Bombardoni?), quartered some button mushrooms and fried them with some lardons then adding those to the pasta in a large lasagne type dish, made some white sauce, covered the pasta and mushrooms with a passata/milk mix, poured over the white sauce, grated some cheese on top and now I'm baking it. It just occurred to me that fried mushrooms on toast would have hit the spot too.
