Coppin Bros butchers in Tooting do a "Pandora's Cushion", which is
a four-layer variant on the idea (goose, chicken, pheasant, quail),
with less elaborate separations between the layers. They normally
make them to order, but occasionally have one in the window.

I keep wanting to get one. They say it's a recipe dating to the current
owner's grandfather's days in the firm. All I can say is that if it's
up to the quality of the rest of their meat then it would be a very
fine dinner indeed.

It depends really on whether the 'fun' of assembling such a thing is what
you're after, or whether you'd prefer to leave it to the professionals. ;)
