Just to note that this is _really easy_. * Take garlic - I had six heads. Peel. Put into jar. * Put about a tsp of honey into the jar too. * Pour boiling vinegar into jar to fill up the gaps. Mine went a disconcerting green colour: http://firedrake.org/roger/images/garlic1.jpg http://firedrake.org/roger/images/garlic2.jpg but I understand this is quite usual if it's not dry when it goes in. (I'd used water to measure the volume of vinegar I'd need.) It's still really very nice... R
