This has become my new post pub snack. It's helped by the fact that I
have a rice cooker which emans I just stick the rice on whilst I get
everything else ready.

It's breaded chicken with curry sauce and it is almost laughably simple.

Sometimes I flatten and bread my own chicken breasts but Sainsburys have
some nice plain ones in the freezer section that can be cooked from
frozen.

So I stick one of those under the grill and then make some curry sauce
with a cube from a pack I buy from the Japan Center. I slice the chicken
into stripes, lay that over the rice and pur on the Kare.

I like it with pickled ginger or finely diced radish.

Variations:
* Make it with pork cutlets (when it becomes Ton Katsu Kare)
* Leave off the sauce and mix the rice with butter infused with herbs
  and garlic.
* Instead of Kare use katsu sauce. This can be faked (very
approximately) with ketchup and lots of worcestershire sauce.
* Leave off the meat (Kare Raisu)
