Fry some leeks, stick in some random chopped up cooked meat (I generally use whatever random polish/hungarian sausages and meats that the cornershop has), add lots of sauerkraut, bung in cider and cook until you are hungry - I normally leave it going for 4 or 5 hours, topping up with cider when necessary, but my great uncle Mietek used to start it cooking the day before eating... Seasoning wise I normally bung in some caraway seed, paprika and black peppercorns, but not a lot else. Cider sorbet? I've never made sorbet, but it might work... billy -- Emacs would be a great operating system -- if only it had a decent editor Billy Abbott billy at cowfish dot org dot uk
