I don't think so. It's spelled as mussamun usually though this is a
transliteration into English of an Arabic word being pronounced by an
East Indian person. So you can spell it pretty much as you like.

Mosselman -> Muslim. Certainly in a Khai Mussulam [thai 'muslim' curry
made with lamb, potatoes, onions] anyway.
