The missus and several of her friends swear by http:// 
www.sparkpeople.com/ (no relation to sparrk, honest).

It has lots of recipes but the main thing is a calorie tracker that  
you tune to your targets. Her indoors lost 46 pounds in about 9  
months mostly by using the calorie tracker to retune her approach to  
meals and portion sizes. I'm probably selling it short, but she can't  
praise it enough.
