My favourite Lentil soup contains garlic, onions, optional bacon bits in
addition to the lentils. It is finished off with a little lemon juice and
some
mint leaves, and served with spinach.

Worcestershire sauce also goes well in Lentil soup (not perhaps with the
lemon and mint though).
