i saw something about carrots on the telly this weekend...
wrap them up in a silver foil parcel along with some butter, garlic,
thyme and a splosh of white wine/vermouth/stock/water/other_random_liquid
(making sure to turn up the corners of the parcel so that nothing leaks
out while cooking) and then stick them in the oven for a bit - didn;t see
how long as i was only half watching, but it looked quite nice and is in a
jamie oliver book somewhere.
